The alcohol will disinfect it. Tuck in.

mxmxm · 26/02/2021 20:07

oh noooo!!!! i’m surprised it could still fly, it must’ve been blootered Grin

alcohol kills bacteria though, so i’d say you can probably still drink it without fear

SendMeHome · 26/02/2021 20:07

If it was alive, it can’t have been in there long? Surely it’d have drowned or suffocated inside a bottle for a while?

If it was my rose and I’d been looking forward to it, I think I’d fish it out and distract myself. Maybe strain the wine Grin

BlueEyedDash · 26/02/2021 20:08

I can't, I am not a fan of flying creatures. Urgh. Lemonade it is.

I mean, you're drinking ethanol. A fly is the least of your worries Grin

A green bottle escaped last Friday while we were feeding dd2's praying mantis...it landed in my glass of rosé on Sunday while I was cooking our roast dinner. Dd1 made me tip the wine when I'd have sieved it :(

Covidcorvid · 26/02/2021 20:20

Was it a brand new unsealed bottle?
