Is today the last day of month for payroll ?

Any payroll specialists out there?

My DH is expecting a redundancy payment today - he left the company a while back but they have been paying him monthly.

Normally it's in the account by this time on about the 28th but with the short month today seems to be the last day of the month and nothing is in yet.

Should we be worried ?

Lots of companies pay on different days through the month. For example, dh gets paid in the 20th and I get paid on the last working days.
Get him to call the payroll dept. Also I think his bank will be able to see it as a pending payment in.

It may be that payroll are only processing the payment today and it won't show in your account until later.
I wouldn't worry yet, but if it's not there first thing Monday then chase it up.

Best to call the payroll dept to ask, they may be processing redundancy pay separately from their normal payroll run.

Thing is there isn't really a payroll department - it's very small.
The letter said the payment would be made with last payroll
