I was sitting in a centrally heated house, with three pairs of socks on, a pair of decent M&S heavy leggings, a thermal top, a woolen jumper, and a very unattractive but heavy duty sweatshirt.

I felt a bit unwell but I am grieving hard , and the above temperature was the result several times over several hours.

DH peeped in at about 10.00am this morning to offer his customary coffee, I said I will pass, I don't feel wrong, but I don't feel right, he brought up a fresh hottie and I slept lightly for another few hours. i.e I heard the postie, I heard the dog walker, all the normal sounds but yet I was asleep.

DH googled it whilst watching TV this evening and said you were clinically dead.... Grin

Personally I am wondering if I need to have my Levothyroxine upped.

Sensible opinions please.... Grin

I 5' 3 and about 8 stone five and generally feel the cold, but this was weird.

Well you aren't dead. You're probably ok, unless any underlying health problems.

Pinkflipflop85 · 26/02/2021 02:53

It's more likely that your thermometer isn't working properly.

FinallyFluid · 26/02/2021 02:54

So Very..........how long have you got.... Grin

It was just the extreme lowness of it that prompted me to ask.

@Pinkflipflop85

Not a bad point, however I asked DS to do his and he presented within his normal parameters.

Towmorrow, I shall borrow a neighbours and cross reference.

You were 34.2 F?

We're you in a fridge?

ShowOfHands · 26/02/2021 03:12

*were

vickibee · 26/02/2021 03:28

I assume you mean Celsius or you would be dead

32F is freezing point

BeautyQueenIamNot · 26/02/2021 07:28

My body does this, lowest I’ve dropped is to 33.5 and ended up in hospital on a heat thingy to warm me up.

I do have underlying health conditions which may or may not attribute towards it the doctors never seem sure.

I also go blue I look like a smurf - once covid is out of the way I will be investigated more thoroughly I hope to find out the actual cause

I wouldn't think it's wise to borrow a neighbours thermometer during a pandemic, unless it's a no contact jobby.

Just change the batteries or buy a new one OP. I'd you legitimately think you need your thyroxine altered, call the GP and get a blood test so you can find out if that's the case.

I have similar health issues and difficulty with body temperature. A hot bath works best when I'm like that, or invest in an electric blanket, they're glorious.

DB gets this and always wears Michelin man style layers around the house because of an underactive thyroid. He often feels very tired and cold. Heated blanket is the way to go. You should contact your GP as your thyroid hormone levels. Maybe time for a retest?
