I’ve just read that news on Daily Mail. I hadn’t heard any kind of build up so does anyone know that it’s true?

No. It’s attacks on Iranian-backed militia operating in Syria. The Iranian regime is testing the US response under a new POCUS by inflicting attacks against US troops. This is the US giving that response.
