Bum on gum (pic)

Any ideas what this may be?

Noticed it on ds(3) about 10 days ago, thought I’d leave it a few days and see if any change but then forgot about it until tonight. Doesn’t seem to be causing any pain or anything.

I want to get it checked out but who do I see - gp or dentist?

Phone the doctors - they will ask you to send a pic in and advise you from there. Is it painful

I would see a dentist for that rather than a GP.

Our gp surgery says to go to dentist first for anything in the mouth or optician for anything eye related. Dentists and opticians have better equipment and knowledge to examine. They can also prescribe if needed.

Looks like an abscess. I’d use bonjela overnight for pain and phone the dentist in the morning.
