Contraceptive Sponge

My dp and I use condoms at the moment.
We don't live together, and only see each other once a week. It's a fairly new relationship.
He suffers from ED with condoms, so we sometimes go without (we have both been screened for STDs).
Obviously then I have to take the MAP because even if he withdraws I'm concerned about pre-cum.

I can't take the pill, I've tried lots of different brands and they all disagree with me.
I'm not interested in taking any hormone based contractive, nor having anything inserted into me by a medic (history of abuse).

I'm mid-forties so not likely to conceive, but obviously still want to safe guarded against an unwanted pregnancy.

I wondered if the sponge might be a good choice for me? But I see it's discontinued in the UK, maybe I could buy it from abroad?

I don’t know about the sponge. Have you tried the femidom?

My friend liked the cap that can be purchased and doesn’t have to be fitted although she struggled at first as she found it very big but you’re in control of it unlike a diaphragm fitting

Why does no one use diaphragms these days
