Laying on my kitchen floor

Just that. Everything feels too overwhelming. Given the kids fruit and a toasted bagel so they aren't starving. They're too young to think this is weird. My period is due in the next week and I always feel so down.

Excellent. Don't think of cleaning the floor. You'll get up in a bit.

What’s going on OP?

Is there anyone you can call for a chat and some support? Flowers

Camomila · 25/02/2021 12:48

Make tea, and go lie on the sofa. You'll be comfier Flowers

I go sit in the kitchen on DS1s little stool for a break sometimes too.

I'm wandering around the house just staring at things.... I feel like crying but I can't be bothered to do that either
Oh it's just all so bloody shit isn't it?

Fruitteatime · 25/02/2021 12:59

Thank you for the kind words. Yes @Tangledtresses it is shit. It's both comforting and sad that you're feeling similar. I'm joy sure why I mentioned pandemic I've felt this way for a long time always about a week before my period.

One of the best places for lying IMO. Ours is heated and the cat comes and sits on my neck.

Tangledtresses · 25/02/2021 13:03

Ahh no problem... It will pass hopefully!

I really don't think being at home with our kids 24/7 is really helping... the guilt.
I'm currently getting several e mails a day from school and a stroppy teenager telling me it's fine to fail your GCSEs 😱

Any way I'm going to walk the dog and get out for a bit 😀

I’m having a day like this too. Really teary, eating my feelings, just sat on the sofa doing nothing (one child at nursery, and baby with me is happy). I’ve never felt this low before.

PurpleFadesToGreen · 25/02/2021 14:42

I used to get like this before my period too.

A total what's the bloody point feeling, let me eat chocolate and cry in bed for absolutely no reason other than that's what I felt like.
I'd say to DH I feel like crying and he'd ask why, and it's I don't know!

It's better these days (on ADs) but still occasionally get like it.

Fruitteatime · 25/02/2021 19:32

I do wonder about going to gp for medication but I'm not sure what I'd say. It's rubbish there a few of you feeling this way. Or I wonder perhaps it'd be abnormal to feel happy on this situation we're in!

My kitchen floor is just cold hard and dirty. I'm about to hoover it Grin
