DD birthday in 3 weeks

DD will be 8 in 3 weeks... And I have no ideas on what to get her!

We also have a DD9. We have craft stuff, Lego, Doll stuff and books coming out of our ears.

We've asked for token gifts and experience gifts only from relatives, due to the amount of stuff she already has. (One set of GPs rather well off and generous, other set save to spoil the grandchildren at birthdays and Christmas, plus other relatives who will happy to send vouchers rather than gifts)

Only things I can think of are a new Scooter as she's nearly outgrown hers, and Beanie Boos as she and her sister collect them. We are moving house soon, so both girls will get room stuff (from the other generous grandparents)

I don't want to buy for the sake of buying. This will be lockdown birthday 2, as her party was cancelled last year. At least she can go to school this year (fingers crossed).

No practical advice as DS2 is a DS, but we are in the same position of lockdown birthday #2, same age and also drowning in stuff from an older same sex sibling.
Plus they've had no fresh inspiration for a year!

They don't seem to grow out of things at this age!

(Her grandparents are getting her a Zoo keeper experience day if that helps you. Other set getting a season ticket to an attraction near our new house.)

Does she like baking and unicorns? Or dinosaurs?
I recommend these baking kits a lot to people, they are so lovely:

They look great @SoddingWeddings.. but we got them a lot of cake decorating bits for Christmas (as we had no ideas!)

You have reminded me of a recipe book I wanted to get her though. Thanks!

I was thinking of getting my daughter a magazine subscription to National Geographic Kids (there are lots of others too; crafts, animals, baking, science) for her 7th birthday soon.

Board games are a hit in this house at that age.

Rummikub, junior cluedo, and dixit.

Also logiblocs.
