What can I do about this annoying blemish on my face?

I’ve had it for about four years, had it looked at by three different doctors as it got a bit bigger but all said it’s nothing to worry about - I can’t remember the name of it but apparently quite common and can get quite big.

The picture makes it look swollen and red - it’s actually soft and skin coloured my face is just a bit flushed! But it’s still noticeable and in a prominent place on my face.

Has anyone else had anything similar? Do they go? Or am I stuck with it! The doctor said they wouldn’t remove it unless it was dangerous or a concern which it’s not and besides apparently I’d be left with a scar.

I’m obviously very glad it’s not a worry and will keep an eye on it anyway but I’m really self conscious about it!

I dont know what it is, but theyre right about a scar. I had a rodent ulcer removed from my side a couple of years ago. It was about 3mm in diameter and height, fairly unnoticeable but growing. The scar I have is about 4cm long! I wouldn’t like it on my face.

Sorry to hear that @Soontobe60 :( poor you.

I can’t remember what they called it but apparently it’s “one of those skin bumps you get as you get older” 😂 he did give
Me the proper name and apparently very common I’ll have to Google it. Although I’ll probably scare myself half to death and end up back at the GP if I do!

I just wondered if it might get bigger or (hopefully) just go away! I think I used to have another one on my face that just went and my mum has a few that are similar although hers feel harder IYSWIM whereas this is very soft.

I just feel very very aware of it

I have one of these too! It appeared on my
Chin about 4 years ago and never went away 😭 I thought it was a spot at
First.

I'd also love to know how to get rid of it!

Another vote for sebaceous hyperplasia

I have many :(

Oh boo. Sorry fellow weird blemish sufferers. It’s not as shiny and red as it looks, flesh coloured but definitely raised. Just enough to be noticeable and in such an annoying place.

Posters who’ve also got them - how big did they get?

So apparently you can pierce them to shrink them... but I’m too scared to do a DIY job at home incase it makes it ten times worse!

I have actually tried that but it made no difference 🤷🏼‍♀️
I have no issue with diy jobs at home 😂🙈
