I'm wondering whether any one has had an allergic/ adverse reaction to the depo contraceptive injection?
I've been on it for about 2 years, but had it last week and immediately began to feel excruciating pain in the injection site. It got so bad I couldn't sleep or sit on that bum cheek. Feels like there is a hard satsuma sized lump under the surface of the skin.
The following 4 days I was very poorly, kept going hot and cold, felt exhausted, was in bed most of the time and on the 2nd day had sickness and diarrhoea.
It also has a huge hot ring around it and is still painful a week on, and can still feel the lump.
I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. But I can't find anything about this online why I would have a reaction after 2 years, and wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
