Did you give birth at Guys & St Thomas's in 2020?

If so...Has anyone else who gave birth at Guys and St Thomas's in 2020 been invited for a vaccine by them? I have a few underlying health conditions but didn't think I'd be in the first 9 groups. It must be connected with having given birth there as they contacted me directly from their text address, and not my GP. Just wondering if anyone else has had this?

My husband also invited by Guy's and St Thomas's. He had a minor op there last year so we assume they're just going through their lists of patients - can't think of any other reason why he'd have been called, and particularly from a hospital rather than GP.

That's interesting @drowsy thank you. I'm surprised though, if we don't fall into the first 9 categories...?

I think London is quite far ahead with the vaccines because it has a relatively young population. I guess if they've got the supplies at Guys they will want to make good use of them. My husband got his appointment the next day, so maybe they have surplus and need to get it used up?

Did you have gestational diabetes?

GSTT is running through it's list of current and historical patients as well as the eligibility criteria from the government.

@TheVeryHungryTortoise thank you that's very interesting. Do you know why they are going this? I feel a bit guilty that I'm not in the top priority groups...? Though I'm super keen to get it as I do have some health issues and I have just had a baby.

They just have the capacity to do so. They have already reached over 80,000 vaccinations. They're working in "most at risk" order in their patients too so it isn't a random process.

I had a Caesarian section so it looks like possibly those who had operations have been selected.
