Ebay CF story

We sold a bed frame on EBay a couple of days ago. The buyer is from a town about 10 miles away.

Today he phoned DH and said they wanted the bed (item was cash on collection) but had no way of picking it up as no access to a van and could we deliver. DH said that as it happens he will be going to that town on Thursday in his van for work and could drop it off then.

The bloke then said he would be at work Thursday but his wife would be home so it would be a godsend if DH could deliver it and assemble it for them!

When DH said he'd drop it off but wasn't doing any assembly the bloke was very put out and I would imagine between now and Thursday that he'll pull out of the sale.

The bed only sold for £50! Why the hell would someone think they'd get it set up too?

Because shy bairns get nowt.

I do sort of admire people that can ask such rude, stupid questions though. I wouldn't have the balls. Then again, I'm not a dick so I'd never ask.

Just say you can't, you didn't offer that, & will be more than happy to refund. I can't really see him being the sort, to get your DH some beers for his troubles.

You havent accepted Paypal have you? If you have and deliver you'll lose a chargeback claim.
