I've just booked Spain for October.

I don't dare think it'll happen, but on the off chance it'll be ok to travel I'm scared to wait to book in case prices go up 500%.

It's free cancelled before sept so should be able to decide by then.

Anyone else done it?

Just me? Am I fully daft? Hmm

DH has had both jabs, I will allegedly be done by then.

Not sure if I'm being insane. It just looked like flights that were £300 in early 2020 are now upwards of £900.

Santorini in September 😊

Frenchcroissant · 24/02/2021 20:48

I did go last July too, don't see how this year would be any different...

RoseWineTime · 24/02/2021 20:50

Not just booked but keeping fingers crossed for Crete in august .... 🤞

Yellow85 · 24/02/2021 20:52

Disneyland in Oct. Been cancelled and rescheduled like 100 times though!

BeakyWinder · 24/02/2021 20:52

I'm hesitating. I went to Greece in August and although it was nice to be away, the masks, social distancing, curfew and reduced facilities were a bit shit still. I'm going to wait until all that is over before I go abroad again.

EileenGC · 24/02/2021 20:54

I went in July, August and December 2020. Hoping to get away for a week in April and a couple more times in summer. I'm confident all the trips will happen.

I really want to book UK and Italy too but I will not be paying for anything until quarantine regulations are lifted.

Here's hoping that everyone on this thread manages to get away safely this summer!

nancy75 · 24/02/2021 20:55

I’ve booked Italy for October, flights that I’ve already changed 4 times since last year! Everything refundable do im going to cross my fingers & not stress (too much!)

FourteenthDoctor · 24/02/2021 20:56

Rome end of June🤞

JengaNonConfirming · 24/02/2021 20:58

I've got Copenhagen booked for July and Dominican Republic booked for September. I actually booked them in early January, in a mad moment of feeling positive Grin

vickibee · 24/02/2021 20:58

We deferred our 2020 holiday to august this year, lanzarote, so hope we can go.

rawalpindithelabrador · 24/02/2021 21:00

Fab! We're off in July.

Novia · 24/02/2021 21:00

I live in Spain and atm I honestly can't see normal life resuming that soon. Fingers crossed though!

Alfaix · 24/02/2021 21:06

I was looking at Crete today for July but just daren’t actually book. If they had free amendments I would.

I don’t even want normal life, I just want to go to Spain regularly again so I can hug my mum, spend time with my siblings and eat home food. I couldn’t care less if there are masks or a curfew in place. I certainly wouldn’t moan about it either... I went three times last year, once in the middle of the Christmas wave, and the restrictions weren’t fun but I just loved being home again.
FoffeeCoffee · 24/02/2021 21:11

Glad to hear other people are hopeful! Last year we had 4 trips cancelled.

We're desperate to have something booked this year. We had Porto booked last year too... tempted to re-book that for September.

Are people relying on being vaccinated by the time of their holiday, or think we'll be ok without?

Honestly I wasn't bothered about Christmas and all the other stuff. I just need to get outside of the uk to somewhere hot with a pool bar. Surely that's not too much to ask? Just a pool bar? If it's over 26 degrees at least I'm happy with beer in a cool bag and some warm-ish sea!

Me too! July, October and December! BA flights are flexible with free cancellation or rebooking until 2023, so why not!

QuentinInQuarantino · 24/02/2021 21:17

Disneyland in September, pushed back from last September.

I think it'll be open but with no parades or characters or shows so I want to postpone it another year really, but then I'll have to pay the difference and the new prices are very high (I guess they need to make the money back)

Doomsdayiscoming · 24/02/2021 21:18

@FoffeeCoffee

I’d argue July is a safer better than October personally.

Late July way safer bet than late October.

Emlemily · 24/02/2021 21:20

Portugal in October here. Postponed from last October but can amend up until the end of September if it looks dodgy.

Goodbye Covid!

Hello climate destruction!

NotMyCircusNotMyProblem · 24/02/2021 21:24

I've booked Lanzarote for November - booked it in January... I mean it's all got to be ok for November, it has, hasn't it?
