Daytime night club in London?

Is there such a thing as a place which does nice food, cocktails etc and also has a dance floor during the day? I want to meet friends (when this is all over blah blah blah) at 1pm for lunch, drinks and dancing but we’ll need to leave by 7pm because of trains. Alternatively, somewhere fun you can go for lunch which has entertainment of some kind? Bonus points for an outside area! Thanks!

I’m thinking the sort of place hen dos would go - happy for it to be cheesy rather than sophisticated. 🤣

I’ve seen bottomless brunches which seem promising but want to make sure there’s music and dancing!

Ballie Ballerson - ball pit cocktail bar? Think they do bottomless cocktail brunch. Havent been but who doesnt love a ball pit? Grin

Anywhere that does bottomless brunch will probably have music, and then you’ll be too tiddled to care if there’s an official dancefloor or not.
Although bare in mind you usually have to leave after your brunch time slot, so you’ll need to line up somewhere else to go afterwards.

Okay I am the queen of London bottomless brunches. There are lots I recommend but most will give you a 2 hour limit and then they want your table back so you’d need to find somewhere else to go afterwards.

Gaucho is a great one for more of a party atmosphere, Ping Pong in Soho also has a DJ on a Saturday. If you search bottomless brunch on Design my night there’s also lots of themed ones (90s, reggae etc) which are a lot less about the food and a lot more about partying. Blame Gloria in Covent Garden also used to do a disco brunch and another one for fun is Bunga Bunga but that gets wild! Also Bar Elba in Waterloo

If you like great food I highly recommend Hotbox for bottomless brunch followed by either the rooftops at Queen of Hoxton or Golden Bee. They’re all shoreditch/Old Street areas.

For something slightly more sophisticated Quaglinos in Mayfair

Sorry also totally forgot the piano works in Farringdon which is brilliant live music (but not brilliant food)

Thank you so much! Will research all of these. I do want decent-ish food. Will update when I’ve looked at them! X

There’s hip hop brunch as well. And a daytime rave in Brixton on Saturdays. Doesn’t look as classy as cocktails though Grin

Oh my goodness as someone who lives in a small town on the coast in Cornwall I am INSANELY jealous of your brunch options in London!

MrsOnions0 · 23/02/2021 18:25

Gaucho is really good fun and great food.

Prince of Wales does good daytime parties on the roof. Unsure about food.

Josephine’s does great cocktails and does all you can drink brunches such as “it’s Britney, brunch”

This has loads options too secretldn.com/bottomless-brunches-london/

The only thing about a bottomless brunch is that I don’t want to be chucked out at 2.30. I would like to be able to stay and drink/chat/dance until late afternoon. Is this an option at any of these places?

OP posts:
Pizzaandgarlicdip · 23/02/2021 19:06

Most places will chuck you out after 2-3 hours and some can be quite upfront about it. Personally I’d book somewhere for brunch and then a fun nearby bar for afterwards.

You may want a change of scenery after a few hours anyway or to rotate who you’re sitting next to

MrsOnions0 · 23/02/2021 19:11

Your best option then would just be to find somewhere with a big rooftop or beer garden, if you want to spend the day/afternoon in one place.

You may not have the music element unless you wanted to go to an actual daytime party. But then there wouldn’t be food.....or as previous posted suggested book two different bits. Even with beer gardens and rooftops people often books these in advance too
