Where is dragon?

Dear readers, I hope one of you has psychic abilities as we have explored all options and cannot find dragon back.
Dragon is a kathe kruse ikibab towel doll. He has been with DD9 since she was born. He was sighted last Monday on the stairs, together with his friend llama. But whereas llama was recovered safely upstairs, dragon has been missing ever since. My daughter cried the first week at night in bed (where she used to rub what remained of his ears before falling asleep) but now she appears to have accepted the loss. But I haven't and I know that she is also still grieving. We have 3 other dragons, bought as replacements nine years ago, but they will not do for DD. I have personally searched every room in the house. On the Monday in question, our cleaning lady came and my biggest fear is that she mistook him for a dirty cleaning towel and somehow binned him (shrudder). She claims she hasn't seen him though. My kids all deny any knowledge of dragon's whereabouts. My DD is adamant that he did not leave the house. Can you give us any hope with stories of well loved toys that turned up after weeks?

Went into the village once and dd’s toy was waiting in the Coop window waiting to be reclaimed.

Have the bins actually been emptied?

Thanks for posting! Yes, unfortunately the bins have been emptied (several times Sad) since then. On day 1 and 2 after his disappearance we thought he was just misplaced and would turn up by himself. Now I indeed fear the options are more limited. Either she or her siblings put him somewhere really out of view (I've even checked the basement) or the unthinkable happened and he did not survive the cleaning lady's visit. Yesterday I told her about checking the basement and she gave me a sad look saying she had already checked there herself when I was at work. But good to hear that some turn back up again!
