Afternoon Tea - Home Delivery

About three or four years ago, I ordered my. mum an afternoon tea which she loved. Sandwiches, scones & jam/cream, mini cakes and a bottle of Prosecco. I can't find the original company that I ordered from, and the only afternoon teas for delivery that I have been able to find are cream teas, so no sandwiches and no mini cakes.
Has anyone ordered a proper afternoon tea recently? I just wondered if they had become more prevalent over lockdown!

Where we are, quite a few of the local cafes are doing this. Have you looked at your local Facebook pages?

Belledan1 · 22/02/2021 19:49

MORRISONS are doing them. Not sure if you need to collect them though. Just try your local cafes/tea rooms. Some do them on Just Eat etc.

Most of the cafes in my local area are doing them so I would check out local cafes on fb/give them a call Smile

Check Facebook. I have 5 local cafes/cake makers selling them and they are very busy. You must have someone local

Yes I ordered tea for 2 to be delivered for a birthday. It was delivered on tiered cake stands and looked lovely. They popped back the next day to collect the empty stands.

Local cafes are all doing afternoon teas. I've had several delivered during lockdown.

I didn't think local cafes, as my parents live 230 miles away from me! I will look for something local to them though, much better plan. Thank you.

Cutter and squidge

RedGoldAndGreene · 22/02/2021 22:15

Try Facebook. I've seen lots of caterers for events offering this service and they'll deliver too.

Extremely! I’m really surprised you can’t find one.

Leeds2 · 22/02/2021 22:38

To be fair, I didn't think to look locally. I was just looking for national online options.

My Facebook is inundated with local bakers/cafes offering afternoon tea, brownie boxes, cupcakes etc.

Solasum · 22/02/2021 22:41

I used piglets pantry last week for me and for a friend and they were great.

Honeyroar · 22/02/2021 22:42

Just about everywhere around here is doing them. They averaged about £10/portion. This one was £7.50..

Sounds fab! I think my mistake was looking nationally, rather than local to where they live.

Afternoon Tea gives me the fear😄😄

In the summer my friend came over we sat in my garden 2m apart had a lovely Afternoon tea I had ordered. We also had a couple of bottles of wine.
Later on, we were still in the garden DH had gone to the chippy and got us something to eat and more wine.
At 1am we were holding each other up dancing and singing around the garden.
I was ill the next day. The garden was full of empty bottles and a broken cake stand.

@ParkheadParadise that’s the type of thing id do with my friend who lives down the road. Sounds prefect!
