Because my stomach is a mess after having my DC!

I know they will not likely ever go away completely but anyone have any tricks that worked to lessen them? They look awful Sad

Literally nothing. Mine are awful after 4 DC. It's a genetic thing, some lucky sods don't get them.

I wish. I have 4 DC and no amount of lotions or potions has worked, no matter how expensive. I slathered myself in various creams and butters since 8 weeks pregnant with my first but none if it .

None of it worked that should say! Wish I was one of the lucky few that didn't get any

Well damn Sad

Annoyingly I literally had none during pregnancy! The midwife commented often about how lovely my skin was on my bump and how lucky I was. It was like the minute he was out, they all appeared Sad

Big pants and low wattage light bulbs also if you wear glasses take them off/wear an old prescription when looking at them in the mirror.

Treatment wise, body brushing will improve the texture of skin, exfoliate and promote good circulation. As do cold showers / baths.

The only things to have some success are laser skin treatment and sometimes silicon gel or patches. The silicone takes months to have any effect and the laser is expensive.

I've had them since a growth spurt as a teen and I tried it all- rose hip oil, bio oil and every potion out there! They have settled to silvery lines, instead of the purple, angry lines, but still there.

I got a lot of stretch marks when I went through puberty as a teen. I put bio oil them, as well as various body butters and creams, and they eventually faded into not very noticeable, light silvery lines. I got a lot of stretch marks from pregnancy (right at the very end, I actually thought I was going to get away with having none to make up for my horrific puberty experience, until suddenly a bunch popped up). I put nothing on them and they eventually faded away into not very noticeable, light silvery lines. They look worse on my stomach even after fading because the skin there is slightly looser, but I don't think that can be changed.

I think they all just fade naturally with time and that creams and oils don't really do anything.

I'll take the faded silvery lines over these horrid angry purple ones 🤞

How long did they take do fade do you remember?

It probably sounds a bit petty really but I just can't stand seeing them when I look in the mirror.

Mine took around 3 months to fade
