Think I've broken ...

the 2nd knuckle on the 3rd finger of my right hand. I'm a writer and a musician, so I normally wouldn't bother doing anything, but it's a week on (haven't done anything so far) and it still bloody hurts, especially when I squeeze the knuckle at the sides. SHould I both my Gp with this or just strap it up and get on with it?

Strange choice of cliffhanger. You may be better going to minor injuries (phone 111) as if you think it’s broken you’re probably going to need an x-ray, or at the least staff there will be more used to dealing with broken bones than a GP.

Thanks Educated - didn't want to cliffhang, but the sentence was too long to put as a title!

Why would you not normally bother doing anything because you are a writer and musician? Is this a thing?

In any case I would think your hands are especially important! I would have it looked at as there are different kinds of breaks and you want it to heal properly.
