Just that really. I'm addressing my bad eating habits and planning my food.

I don't mean "massive salad". I do like a nice salad but not generally in winter.

Homemade vegetable soup, ryvitas and light soft cheese with sliced tomato.

JorisBonson · 22/02/2021 12:44

Depends what we have in!

Today it's a couple of crispbreads with low fat cream cheese, half an avocado, some cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.

AmberRoseGold · 22/02/2021 12:44

Today I had soba noodles, spring greens and chicken. With soy sauce and sesame oil

I just had two poached eggs on two slices of avocado toast. A dash of sweet chilli sauce on top. Could be made healthier with wholewheat bread instead of my white, and maybe without the sweet chilli

ThePlantsitter · 22/02/2021 12:44

Soup + a wholemeal roll/ slice

avocado+ cream cheese or feta or whatever I have around on wholemeal toast.

Poached egg and spinach on... you guessed it wholemeal toast

DishedUp · 22/02/2021 12:45

Salads, soup, wholemeal pittas/wraps, eggs, left overs, fritatta

Just depends really what I fancy or whats in

ImFree2doasiwant · 22/02/2021 12:45

I used to work with someone, in her 50s, very slight. Every day she had 3 ryvita, 2 extra light cheese triangles, and a handful if grapes. A low fat yogurt later on. I'm not sure I could do that every day for years!

Today it's chickpea, lentil and tomato salad left over from the weekend. I often make large quantities of that sort of stuff to last a couple of meals - first as an accompaniment to fish for dinner, then for lunch. I might jazz it up by adding halloumi or putting it in a wrap.

savanahnana · 22/02/2021 12:46

Poached egg and avocado on sourdough
Tuna and spring onion salad wrap
Veg soup
Egg mayo pitta

These are just some of my go to lunches lately that are quick and easy to do also.

Cpl1586407 · 22/02/2021 12:46

Eggs boiled/scrambled with wholewheat toast if I want something substantial but otherwise just with some avocado tomato or other veg bits. Veg soup sometimes.

reenon · 22/02/2021 12:46

Usually Jacket potato with tuna mixed with quark instead of mayo and some salad on the side

Or I'll have huevos rancheros

ImFree2doasiwant · 22/02/2021 12:49

I've just had a sandwich with seeded bread, ham, mustard (no butter). Some cucumber, and grapes. Is this way off the mark do you think?

A bowl of soup
Tuna flatbread
Scrambled eggs on toast
Jacket potato with prawns
Crackers with soft cheese

Bluesheep8 · 22/02/2021 12:54

Your lunch sounds fine to me

AnaisNun · 22/02/2021 12:57

Just had an avocado on a gluten free ciabatta roll.
I usually either skip lunch or have something like that/ an apple with peanut butter/ham and cheese with some salad bits pulled out of the fridge.

When I was in the office it was a VERY different story. It was either nothing for something with chips and pitta bread Blush

Cindersrellie · 22/02/2021 12:59

Soup or a poached egg on toast.

Flamingolingo · 22/02/2021 13:02

I’ve just had some lentil and watercress soup and half a bagel, a satsuma and a handful of almonds. -and then half a homemade cookie- I feel pretty full to be honest!

Lampshade685 · 22/02/2021 13:05

Spaghetti hoops Blush, scrambled or poached egg and a slice of toast

Muitolegal · 22/02/2021 13:07

Today poached eggs on wholemeal toast
Sometimes tuna and salad on half a bagel

thismeansnothing · 22/02/2021 13:08

Soup and Broghies.
Aldi Slimwell meals.
Chicken sausages, fried veg and an egg.
Omlette.
Beans on toast.
Scrambled egg on toast.
Hummus, ham, crackers, salad.
Fish finger butty.
Quesadillas.
'tik tok' wrap.
Marinated chicken slices (like tikka or Aldi do a nice coconut curry one) in a pitta with salad.

MinnieMountain · 22/02/2021 13:09

A cheese, tomato and mushroom omelette.

DH or I will often make a big salad of bulgar wheat and whatever veg we have in the fridge. We share it at home and it’s easy to scoop into a pot when I do my day in the office.

cobblers123 · 22/02/2021 13:09

Most days I have two ryvita with half a cheese triangle on top, with ham and sliced vine tomato.

I am trying to do low carb, and have not had any potato, rice, pasta, bread, pastry or biscuits for six weeks. I have slipped up a little and had a couple of cherry bakewell tarts but that's not bad I think for six weeks.

If someone knows a bread that is really low in carbs, I'd love the occasional sandwich as a bit of a treat. Smile

HoneysuckIejasmine · 22/02/2021 13:12

Soup (I buy supermarket own as I prefer a variety of flavours and don't fancy making 8 different soups to freeze) and carrot sticks and apple slices. Sometimes a few sesame seed bread sticks.

In the summer, salad with roast [whatever vegetable is looking a bit sad in the fridge] and some nice dressing.

Orangeblossom1977 · 22/02/2021 13:13

These sound lovely! Today I had leftover mushroom curry with some brown basmati rice heated up, with some greek yoghurt on the side.

Daisy829 · 22/02/2021 13:14

Homemade soup, omelette, salad, pasta, left over dinner from the previous night.
