Any GPs about? Stress blepharospasm - how to fix?

The NHS website says to speak to a GP if it’s been going on longer than two weeks. It has, it’s been going on and off since Christmas, but there’s no chance I’m going to take up a GP’s time with it!

The last two weeks it has been driving me potty. It’s the lower lid of the left eye only.

I know it’s from stress and I know the cause (which isn’t really fixable right now), but is there anything I can take or do to stop the damn twitching?!?

Are you getting enough sleep? I sometimes get this when I'm tired or run down, but a few early nights usually sorts it out.

Also, I've an under-active thyroid and I get very "twitchy" when my levels are low. Might be worth having your bloods checked if it continues.

No help OP but I’ve had it since Christmas too. Upper left eyelid. Let me know if you find a cure.

I've been getting this too in my left eye for the past 5 weeks....it's driving my potty!!!

My sleep app tells me I’m averaging seven hours a day, I thought it would be a bit less than that.

As for my thyroid, I have all the symptoms of an underactive thyroid but my bloods actually show it is just a shade under being overactive!

A shade away from being overactive, I mean.

Try some magnesium? This helped me, and it can help the stress levels a bit too.
