Best rug for an office chair?

My office chair is leaving skid marks on my laminate floor so I need a rug.

I'm working in my bedroom so am looking for something my chair can roll over (low pile?) but is also soft and cosy, as it's my bedroom and my desk is right next to my bed.

Can anyone recommend? Been looking at places like Ikea and Dunelm but not sure - I'd love Wool especially a Persian-style rug, but would that get wrecked by chair wheels? I don't want to make an expensive mistake! TIA!

I bought a large door mat from wilkos a few weeks ago due the marks my chair was leaving , it is soft but not cosy , it is hard wearing
