8 month old not sleeping

I wonder if anyone can offer any advise for an 8 month old that doesn’t sleep!

They will at best sleep for 2 hours at a time through the night and before someone says it’s sleep regression it’s been since they have been 4 months old....

We’ve tried:
co-sleeping
putting them in their own room
cot by the bed
A big feed before bed
Feeding only once through the night
Feeding every time they wake
Giving them a comforter
Dummy/no dummy
Bath before bed
A T-shirt over the mattress that we’ve worn
Sleeping bag
A blanket
Night light/ no night light
Womb sounds
White noise
Pink noise

They are so active through the day and have so much energy! They are on special formula for high energy needs they just seem so wired they don’t want to miss a thing!

Does anyone have anything else to try we are sooooooo tired!

What is pink noise?

For mine, the secret was going down awake and getting to sleep by themselves. How does your little one get to sleep to start with?

My eldest slept through the night from 4 months and I thought I knew everything about baby sleep and happily dished out advice😳 ! Then my 2nd didn't sleep more than 2 hrs at a time for a year. Nothing worked for her!

I would put her down awake and she would get herself to sleep - but was awake and crying every 1-3 hrs.

In the end I accidentally left her to cry it out when I was having a shower and couldn't hear her. My husband heard her and reported that after 3 mins of crying and 5 mins grizzling she went back to sleep on her own. So because the lack of sleep was effecting my mental health - my husband worked away three nights a week and I was about to go back to work - I let her cry/grizzle when she woke of one night and she slept through every night since.
She is now a sleep champion who has just dropped her nap and sometimes puts in 13 hrs overnight!
From occasionally sharing a room with her on holiday I know that she still often cries out once or twice in the night (she's now 3 yrs) but she doesn't really wake.

2 hours at a time is pretty common. Both my kids did that until I did gentle sleep training at 9/10 months
