How do I politely get rid of my old colleagues?!

I left my old job just as the pandemic was beginning. I got on well with the people there, team of 5 or 6. However I am very introverted and socially anxious, and although they were all nice people I found them draining and hard work to be around. I didn't have anything in common with any of them and struggled to know what to talk about. I don't know why they appear to like me really Blush

Due to the pandemic I've obviously not seen them since. However, they message me at least every 3 or 4 weeks saying how they're looking forward to meeting up once we're allowed to. I made excuses over summer, but I'm starting to wonder how I will fob them off when restrictions ease again.

I realise I am probably just not a very nice person Blush But I really don't want to keep in touch with these people who I barely even know. I never ever spent time with them outside work even when I was there! I just want to be left alone. What shall I do?!

If I had a £ every time a ex colleague had said we must meet up but it never to happen I’d afford a holiday .
Honestly just be vague and say how busy you are at work etc they’ll give up .

  1. Shovel.
  2. Concrete.
  3. Patio slabs

Well, you needed to redo your garden anyway...right??
