How’s Your Sunday Going?

EternalOptimist7 · 21/02/2021 18:56

I worked today so will be confused for the rest of the week as I usually do Saturdays & thought yesterday was Sunday! Had an extremely late lunch at about 5 so will have tea around 8 ( bangers, mash & peas). DD12 has already eaten. I may be having a glass or 2 of Chardonnay. Thought it was my turn to put the rabbits to bed but remembered I did it last night. Result! Lots of stuff to sort out, including bags from DD’s room & baskets of clothes, but will do them tomorrow. This decluttering lark is a slow business! We moved here over 3 years ago & in parts it still looks like we have just moved in!

Excellent, after a rubbish week, we have been down to the allotment and dh went to dcs school to do some gardening with one of the governors. We went to pils to clear their guttering because they've been having issues when it rains. Found a shuttlecock amongst many other things that was causing a blockage. They are elderly and stayed in the house, we stayed in the garden and DC loved waving through the window and being silly. Dcs thought it was very funny having an alfresco wee in their garden!
Home and all had showers then chilled. Dh is doing a jigsaw, I'm surfing and dcs playing. Having salad for tea!

Well, as usual:
DH is working, DD has stopped uni work for today (exam prep), DS is listening to a book while building something complicated in his minecraft world and I watch yet another Chinese lady doing some cooking.

Anyone else?

Actually great we have much loved step son here for a week! It's been months since we've seen him.

I'm just run ragged making everything nice for him but it's nice I love it.

All having a drink and a takeaway.

I've had a fantastic sunday. I ran 5km at 7am, met a friend for a walk, came back and had a cuppa and homemade cake, spent lots of time in the garden with my dds, made a roast beef dinner and I'm about to settle down with a book. I'm in a great mood, the warmer weather and longer days are doing me the world of good

BeatricePrior · 21/02/2021 20:27

What book @Peanutbutterblood

RhinestoneCowgirl · 21/02/2021 20:32

Had a walk this morning with a friend I hadn't seen for ages, only round the streets but we talked non stop. Then home to cook a quite frankly amazing roast dinner which we sat down to eat around 2:30pm. Played a new board game with the DC (12&14) after lunch, Settlers of Catan. Plus plenty of reading of one of my new birthday books (which was yesterday)

Today was last day of “half term” before we kick DC4 back to nursery and muddle on with DC6 at home but hope that’s only for 6 weeks now.

I got a cheapy chocolate fondue set and we and the DC (6&4) had an amazing time after lunch with masses of fruit and brioche. Quick to do and hugely enjoyable for all. After the fondue we all kind of gave up and DC were on screens for most of the afternoon but we did get out on bikes this morning.

I found a massive sack of potatoes so did some mash to freeze. Then I watched some of the bbc farming life documentary which is fascinating. DH managed to dig DC out of screens and into garden with a ball.

The sunshine this weekend really did make me feel better. I almost think I could re start my exercise regime tomorrow... maybe... I’m off for an early bed.

Popskipiekin · 21/02/2021 20:35

*only for 2 weeks I hope!! Not 6!! Ha.

AdoraBell · 21/02/2021 20:39

DH had his vaccine. Drove to the venue, I sat in the car. Back home, laundry, cooked dinner, fed the dogs. I’ll be clearing up. He’s going to bed.

Not too bad thank you. I live by myself and am unattached having recently, finally and thankfully broken up with my non-cohabiting partner and I feel so calm and free that anything nowadays is happy. Unfortunately am not working at the moment as my sector is closed but am keeping fit with running & zoom classes, walking my dog, seeing my friend in my bubble and just "pottering" I seem to spend many hours just pottering, reading, tidying, crosswords. I am looking forward to going back to work however, once gyms & clubs re-open as I love what I do and all the lovely people I see.

troppibambini6 · 21/02/2021 20:55

Nice day here. Woke up feeling a bit hungover so made a nice breakfast which made me feel much better.
Just pootled around at home all day, dh took all the kids out this afternoon which was nice to have a break.
I've got that Sunday night feeling now though as I've just printed off all the sheets for homeschooling the kids tomorrow after a week off.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 21/02/2021 21:09

I had a tidy, went for a walk and had a bath. The days gone so quick, dreading home schooling again tomorrow!

Mintjulia · 21/02/2021 21:11

Busy.

Three hours sewing this morning, a pile of ironing, spring cleaned DS' room, gossiped with a friend on the phone, then an hour weeding.

A zoom karate class, then cooked supper.

I'm not doing anything more, I'm tired and mutinous Grin

Bluewavescrashing · 21/02/2021 21:13

How do you put your rabbits to bed OP? Cute.

mamaduckbone · 21/02/2021 21:36

Pretty pleasant overall although it's gone too quickly. I went for a run with ds2 this morning (I'm doing C25K with him) - I fibbed about which day we were on but he was proud of himself for managing it.

We had a family walk, a big roast and I had to do a couple of hours prep for school tomorrow, which I should have done earlier in half term but couldn't bring myself to.
Popped over to drop my mum's shopping off and had a chat with her outside for a while then we've slobbed out with TV this evening.

EternalOptimist7 · 21/02/2021 22:44

bluewavescrashing putting the bunnies to bed used to involve getting them to go into the back of the hutch & locking the door but now we let them have the full run of the hutch all night. I check their water bottles & top up their hay then tell them I love them 🐰❤️
