I could probably google this but I don't feel like keying in all my details to get a quote, and be bombarded with spam from removal companies!

So, could anyone tell me how much it cost them to hire a removal firm to move the contents of a flat (two people's stuff plus furniture) into a house? I don't want to have to do any packing myself lazy caah

There is no way to get an anywhere near figure without getting quotes. There are a million factors affecting it like how much furniture so you have, how large, how many belongings, how far you are going , the area you live and how desperate the removal firms there are for business.

I’m SE but not London. 5 years ago it cost £900 + VAT for pack, move and some help unpacking. Moving from a 2 bed with a lot of furniture and shed/outside stuff.

My friend told me to get the packing and I wasn’t sure. Found myself stressed about what they’d do and trying to tidy before. By the time the day before came I was SOOOO grateful I’d done it. They were like locusts packing it all so quickly. Very professional so I didn’t feel like there was snooping or judgement as my stuff. Once we arrived they put all the boxes in the right room and helped set beds up.

I gave them a tip and a bottle of champagne I was so relieved!

Good luck with your move :)

Get a few quotes -they can vary wildly. We moved from 3 bed house and were quoted £900, £1400 & £2100 by three different firms. We went with the £900 and they were fine - were local to where we were moving from and had lots of good reviews. The other two were nationwide companies.
