Moving home .. argument with DH about flammable stuff

Uft. We are packing up the house to move on Wednesday. Had a great day and actually has been quite fun with me and DH laughing and making jokes etc.

Then we got to the outhouse and Dh said we should just leave all the BBQ stuff like firelighters and a can of flammable fire lighting liquid and wooden kindling etc. I said why? We will use it lets take it. Then I picked up the can of the liquid and it felt like 3/4 empty and I just lobbed it down in the "chuck out"pile and when I did, the palstic cap which is also the dispenser smashed. I put the plastic cap into the recycling.
DH then picked up the can and said "there's a fair bit left in that, where the cap?" And I told him it had smashed and put it in recycling. He has taken it out and placed it back on the can like half a smashed cap :s and says we will leave it.
I said we can't just leave stuff like that and he was honestly so adamant we would. Said he had conceded on so much stuff today (I can't even think of one thing 😏) and I said no we will take it or put to skip as they have a flammable section I think? He said no, if he has to lob it onto the roof it will be staying.

I'm like wtf. It's a fucking can of BBQ starting liquid that now has a smashed cap. Why wouldn't dispose of it. He wants to leave it in the pool changing room along with the other BBQ stuff
Tell me I'm not going crazy and we need to get rid of it?!

Update. He has now said I can do what I like with it ...

God knows what that was all about.

Yes, you need to dispose of your rubbish, not leave it for the next occupant!
