Anyone else ditched Facebook?

So my Facebook got hacked a couple of weeks ago. I woke up to a bunch of emails telling me I'd changed my recovery code, changed my email and date of birth etc. I hadn't. Couldn't get back into it. And in the process of trying to get back into it I realised that the reason I couldn't get help from Facebook is because I'm not a customer. I'm just a source of data.

Yeah probably you all have figured that out for yourself previously but even though I kind of knew it I didn't properly realise what that meant. But I do now. So I haven't opened a substitute account. But I miss it. Help me stay strong and not go back into it. My quality of life is better since coming off it because I'm not wasting time on shit any more, but I do get the urge to go back. Anyone else?

I deactivated my account on 1st Jan. Don’t miss it at all. The first couple of days without it were strange and I kept automatically going to open the app but after that, I honestly don’t miss anything about it.

Agree about the quality of life thing. Seeing people share “like this for good fortune” and “I love my grandkids” posts did not enrich my life in any way.

I deactivated one in 2015 and then set up a different one with a fake name and no friends as I like to use it to follow some news sites/fb groups/the kids' school. It works well as I prefer communicating with friends directly via WhatsApp etc
