Neighbour had a wild party until 2am

I'm exhausted.

working long shifts at a hospital and I come home to my neighbour being loud, I had a feeling something was coming. She's usually loud, she's been moved out for 6 weeks. No idea why she's back, landlords wife was outside in tears the other day after a war of words with her.

She doesn't pay rent, she has domestics on a daily basis, trashes the house when it suits her. Recently left her young DS with her boyfriend and ran off for 6 weeks, only to come back and kick the boyfriend out.

Last night, a party of what sounded like at least 20 people including 2yo DS was going on until 3am (at least I think, I eventually fell asleep from sheer exhaustion)

DH phoned the police, they said they'd be out. They never did.

She was roaring, screaming, fighting, listening to all kinds of music. It was a nightmare.

I have a 1 year old and I'm pregnant, I'm a student nurse. This is hell. We own the property, we will be in a position to sell and buy another in 2.5 years.

I'm just so low with it all. If you approach her, last time she knocked at my house and accused me and DH of all kinds, because we asked her to lower music (on a Thursday at 4am) and went back to partying. Police didn't do anything. They never do.

I haven't got the number for her landlord. I'm at a loss what to do. They get broken into often, it's just an unpleasant experience living near her.

Just needed a rant and any advice I'd be grateful. Feeling low, emotional and rather angry

Well it's a stressful time to be nursing and studying and mommying.. and theres enough in that lot to keep anyone more than busy. Not to mind being disturbed by the commotion next door.. Sound proofing our party wall just cost me 900 quid labour and materials 400..We put aeroboard and wickes soundboard up,then plasterer came.. but that was because we have kids and the neighbour was banging on our wall if a child fell and cried -we dont have parties.. But I'm not sure anything would kill the noise from your neighbour. I certainly feel more comfortable now as a new couple moved in and we ve done all we can to address noise.. What if you did your bedroom with soundproofing so you could sleep at least..I doubt would kill it but at least muffle it? Mind your stress levels, get your noise blocking ear phones and play calm app for 20 mins etc... just to tune out from the drama..

One of the downsides of the pandemic is scum like this have been able to evade eviction for a year.
