Worried about animals

A friend of mine in another town is finding this most recent lockdown difficult and lacking any motivation or enthusiasm. I have suggested seeing gp or calling a mental health helpline for advice but this idea hasn't gone down well. The thing I'm really worried about is she has stopped walking her dogs- she has two spaniels who are left in the garden to Poo and they may be taken for a walk once a week. Do the rspca get involved or do they think as long as they are fed and have shelter then it's okay?

It depends on who involves the RSPCA. They don’t have trackers on all animals so it’ll depend on who (if anyone) reports her. As long as they are well fed, not morbidly obese and not caked in their own shite she’ll be ok with them.

That is not to say that the situation is right and whilst concern is right for the dogs I would suggest that your friend needs more help than them if this is unusual behaviour. We seem to have a strange culture in the Uk that we seem to be more concerned about animals than humans. (This is not aimed at you OP!)
