This is a cracking thread

Walk out to Winter is my favourite. Saw them at queens hall In Edinburgh and I'm still waiting for Roddy to marry me

Loving some of these reminders of my youth. Love and money, Hipsway,
The Blue Nile.

Scottish music scene was great

Thismummyruns · 21/02/2021 04:36

Listen to this song every time I'm in the car. The best part is my 7 year old singing along!

heathergem · 21/02/2021 05:19

@Bloodypunkrockers

Tinsel town in the rain, one of my favourite tunes.

MoodyMarshall · 21/02/2021 07:27

Wow. Aztec Camera. So many years ago but could be yesterday 🙂

AlecTrevelyan006 · 21/02/2021 10:55

Less well known but also brilliant Scottish bands from late 70s / early 80s include
Fire Engines
Joseph K
Scars

Simple Minds were also much interesting in their early days before they went all pomp rock

AlecTrevelyan006 · 21/02/2021 10:57

Positive Noise were another great band from Glasgow

AStarAboveTheCity · 21/02/2021 12:19

Yy simple minds were great before Jim Kerr started wearing white shirts and doing that weird arm waving thing.

Although obviously he stopped doing both of those things decades ago.

I am old.

I’ve had so many sad affairs but I've wiped them out my mind
It doesn't matter if he's dumb or smart just as long as he is kind
Is he out there and will he care?

C0RAL · 21/02/2021 12:38

Get away
Runaway
Far away
How do I escape from you

tothesea · 21/02/2021 16:57

I wanted to be her so badly.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2021 17:35

New York to East California
There's a new wave coming I warn you

She's not Scottish. I wanted to be her...

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 21/02/2021 17:40

Roddy Dole sang the theme tune to Early Doors which was just about the best comedy ever. Small World.

Loved him, he was gorgeous

BikeRunSki · 21/02/2021 19:05
