Simple Minds were also much interesting in their early days before they went all pomp rock

Positive Noise were another great band from Glasgow

Yy simple minds were great before Jim Kerr started wearing white shirts and doing that weird arm waving thing.

Although obviously he stopped doing both of those things decades ago.
