Morning all! What are you up to today?

I had a lie in! Just having my second coffee of the day then going to move & get the washer going, last night's pots washed & some other house work.

Need to fix a bit of hallway ceiling temporarily so it doesn't come down on one of us. I've finally solved the mystery of the leaky bathroom though, I think, so can sort out getting that fixed. I think the whole shower wall's going to have to come out to get to it though 🙄

Other than that, it's probably going to be a slow kind of day (again!). I'll probably carry on with my crochet project or risk assessment for the Guides residential that I very much doubt will go ahead but has been paid for, for almost a year now .

I'll nip out for milk, wine & some sweets later on. & it's either re-heated Chinese, or "help yourself to whatever you want" for tea tonight.

Girlguiding locally is running a weekend of activities with a requirement to sleep in somewhere different in an international style. I am doing that with DDs (a Rainbow and a Brownie). My own Guide unit is doing a seperate sleepover with different activities so I am trying to fit in 3 people's worth of activities, which includes making biscuits and crafts and regular zoom meetings as well as attempting to build somewhere for DDs to sleep (I made an 'igloo' by draping white sheets over furniture, but it is a work in progress and the cat keeps jumping on it and breaking it).

I got up earlier when DP went to work and cleaned the kitchen, turned the dishwasher and washing machine on and am now back to lounging in bed.

In a bit I’ll get up and put the sweet potato fries I got for 19p last night in Waitrose in the oven for lunch. Then I think I’ll have a bath (with candles as our bathroom light has broken) and finish my book.

Then later tonight we’re planning to get dressed up and make cocktails and have a Chinese themed evening. I’ve got duck pancakes, duck spring rolls and prawn crackers from Aldi. And then planning to make the chicken chow mein and chilli beef from Pinch of Nom

I’m up food shopping list written. Just eaten some lovely smoked salmon and scrambled egg as a treat for us all this gloomy Saturday.
Washing and dishwasher loaded so feel a bit on top of things.
DH is on the phone to his DM who wants to treat us to a takeaway so she is phoning our order for curry through later what a kind thought.
My two DD’s are hunkered down in their bedrooms not sure if I will see much of them until later.
DD 11 wants to make some shortbread later so we will make some use of the cookie cutters.
Then curry and maybe a film beckons this evening.

I've got a line full of washing out to dry - lovely to see the sun.
Have made bread.
Going to try and spend an hour on my very complicated jigsaw this afternoon (when I've done the ironing).
Then watch TV, and make a pasta/prawn thingy for dinner.

I had a lie in too because I stayed up watching The Marvellous Mrs Maizel until waaaay too late last night nothing to do with the wine 🍷. Today is therefore a right off so far. However we will pull ourselves together and go out for the obligatory walk after lunch. Bit of a garden tidy up too. Chicken fajitas for tea and The Voice later. Rock and Roll

Just had house viewing so enjoying the house being clean and tidy still.
Dc3 going to nap now and older two having some screen time. Mild and sunny outside so might have a cup of tea out there while baby sleeps.
Pizza and movie later.

Feel more hopeful today than I have in a long time.

I'm on second lot of washing.

Going to support bubble for the afternoon and kids will play and we will leave them and go for a walk via the take out Costa!

Then home for dinner (lazy freezer to oven this evening due to time!) and ds has a zoom with his swimming club.

Actually feels like a normal Saturday which is amazing for my MH.

Lazy morning. Going for a walk on the beach this afternoon and might get an ice cream. Back for homemade pizzas and Ant and Dec apparently!

Did a bit of top up shopping, then had a walk - first day it has felt closer to spring and it was lovely

The bathroom leak wasn't where I thought, but will hopefully be easier to fix! Just need a trip to B&Q for supplies now.

I went for crochet instead of risk assessment. That's pretty comprehensive anyway & just needs some adjustments that are probably best done after Monday.

Stiff beach & ice cream sounds lovely right now!

Bubble it does feel closer to spring; I wrapped up like an eskimo to nip to the shop & was pleasantly surprised that I didn't really need the fluffy Uggs or blanket scarf!

Nothing much. Just sold our old house so I've done another change of address. Had lunch of blue cheese, grapes, parma ham followed by some fudge.

DH will clear out silkie chickens and put new bedding I bought in for them. He's been filling in forms for a new second hand car he's buying this week.

Cat got cross with DH as he put his laptop where she wanted to sit but all is well now. Rabbit is eating as usual. DS and DD are doing very little though DH has foolishly asked DD to cut his hair tonight May have a Chinese takeaway tonight.

Afternoon!

It's been a busy old day here.

Did a few jobs this morning, Been for a long walk this afternoon and now I'm just about to start tea, and tidying up the kitchen!

I wanted to do all my ususal Saturday chores, but I did only half of them.
I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole.
DH is working, DS reading and DD is preparing for end of semester exams.

Lie in, dip in hot tub, back to bec reafing listening to podcasts, not feeling great.

Well this morning im going to get the jab !

As this is an exciting day out now , i have got up early , washed my hair put all my sparkles on and im going to nip to lidi on the way back.

This afternoon I plan to be more productive than yesterday because i did sod all. X

I'm just about to put the washer on to freshen up my coat

The house is clean & tidy so, unless the girls want to do anything, I'm going to carry on my crochet project & then cook a roast later on.

Having a quiet cup of tea to myself. Will need to wake DC soon for rugby zoom.
We plan a nice walk this afternoon and a roast for tea.
Little DC back to school tomorrow (Scotland), so a mix of nerves and excitement here. Back to uniforms and pack lunches but I’m happy about that, well for now!

I had a lie in this morning
I was still awake at the same time as everyone else but it was nice staying in bed and then having a lazy shower while DH gets the kids up.
House needs a dust and a mop, DD has asked to go for a walk later although it looks like it might rain.
May pop out for nappies and stop to say hello to DH's parents on the way home (from the car).

Lovely day here in the N East. Had a tidy up and finished planting my seeds this morning. Lovely walk along the Tyne, felt sad passing all the closed bars and restaurants, especially when ds said wouldn't it be lovely to have lunch out Mum 😭Home now getting a beef stew on for dinner. Last day of HT so back to work and home schooling tomorrow. 🤞 BoJo says school will be back on 8 March
