Honestly, I couldn't believe how upset I was! Was genuinely holding back tears, as I opened the boxes and realised it was the crappy take away, that thinks special fried rice is a layer of boiled (yes, boiled!) rice and a layer of plain, chewy, flavourless, non descript meat 😖😠

Let's be honest, there's not much to look forward to right now, so rather depressingly, was clinging onto this bit of joy

This is supposed to be lighthearted btw. I know in the scheme of things this is absolutely ridiculous and a non issue, but I just couldn't believe how disappointed I was!

Anybody have any similar stories they'd care to share to make me feel less pathetic?!

Ah I get you @MargaritasAndFajitas . I had a hissy fit at DH because he took a mask I was saving so I always had a new one. I mean really?!

I ordered some biscuits with my shopping delivery that didn't arrive, I said to the driver, but I was looking forward to those! Like it was his fault! I cried when he'd gone

I gazed longingly at supermarkets as
I drove by for my jab today!

We ran out of coffee before I could do the big monthly shop. Literally stood in front of the empty coffee jar and cried.

We're all just on the edge I think. I can't image under normal circumstances I would have felt my heart race and my bottom lip quiver over fried rice

I was way too excited at the thought of attending my eye test at SpecSavers on the weekend. Did my hair nice for it too.

I look forward to my twice weekly covid test because it involves leaving the house for something that isn't work and also interacting with people who aren't colleagues.

Well, I say interacting. I mean standing in a dirty marquee and having someone with a mask stand two metres away and give me guidance about where my tonsils are.

I wear my “going out” mascara for the weekly shop. And that’s only a click and collect.

Have a blood test at the hospital next week. Genuinely looking forward to a day out!
