Quirky UK holiday ideas

We’re getting married in July and we’re looking at a UK honeymoon as we’re unsure how easy it will be to go abroad. We’d love to stay somewhere quirky and wondered if anyone has stayed somewhere then can recommend...

No specific requirements although we think England is probably easiest Incase rules change for wales/Scotland/NI. We’d like the coast and enjoy walking, cycling, climbing, food. We’re in the midlands.

The quirkier the better - treehouses, shepherd hut, lighthouse, windmill. All recommendations welcome.

We went here last year and I can't recommend it highly enough - off grid, totally private, it would be very romantic. Lots of great walking. Not so much for beaches though.

The National Trust has lots of quirky places

Landmark trust is where I began looking but there aren’t many that sleep two, so we’re saving them till group holidays are okay. I love the pineapple house and the ruin on there.

NT seems a bit hit and miss as to where they’re allowing bookings for. I desperately want to stay in their property at Rhossilli though

Ooh thanks. I follow cool stays on Instagram, that was what gave me the idea of finding some there quirky. I’d love to get personal recommendations of anywhere too as there are so many places on there it’s hard to narrow it down.
