Is this a disorder ?

I think its OCD? I'm obsessive about things like I overthink everything to the point of insanity. I always look to the past and wish I'd done things differently. I don't like people really and I get bored of people quickly. I always wonder if there is better out there and never wish to settle.

There's no way anyone could diagnose you from a short Mumsnet post. If you're struggling then you should see a professional. OCD isn't simply about obsessing over things, it's a hugely misunderstood disorder in society. Are you struggling with your mental health generally?

I son't think it is ocd and labelling it is probably not helpful anyway. You overthink, catastrophise even but that could probably be helped by cbt to restructure your thinking more positively.

I've had anxiety and depression for years and medicated for it. I've no idea what it is or whether other people have the same ruminations.

Maybe its just my personality then

No, that wouldn't be OCD (I have OCD). It sounds like part of your anxiety though, and maybe just a self-esteem/confidence thing?

I'm on sertraline 25mg the lowest dose I've been on it for 2 weeks and its reducing slowly but still there. I don't think lockdown helps
