At Christmas I bought a Ring device, in early jan I had a new router, the Ring device just would not connect to the new wifi (every other device has) i rang Ring and after doing a few tests with a very friendly American guy he said they would just send a replacement and to return the existing ring. Will take 7-14 days. I thought this was slow considering they are owned by Amazon and you get order one the next day from Amazon but so be it.
7 weeks (and 3 phone calls to Ring later) the new device finally came yesterday, I’ve just had a second delivered
It feels like stealing to keep it but it was such a palaver to get the replacement yesterday I now don’t want another palaver returning the second device
(To return the faulty one I had to ask a friend to print the label they sent (I’m wfh and no printer) and I also have to go into town either via taxi or bus to go to a DPD drop off point, I’ve not left the village since before the first lockdown so annoyed I have to venture and put my family at risk to return it rather than go the post office so to potentially have to go again to return device 2 and get a label printed is annoying me)
Would you keep or return device 2?
