in a gap that's 60.5 cm wide?

I've seen a good deal bit my current one is slightly smaller and I'm not sure whether 60 cm will definitely fit in a 60.5 cm gap or not.

Are you getting it from Currys, OP? Because I despaired of getting any replacement machine to fit at all at all when I looked on their website! However, the same machines seemed to be a cm or more smaller on the AO website. I suspect Currys are allowing an extra bit of clearance in their measuring.
AO delivered the machine that Currys claim wouldn’t fit and installed it in 5 minutes last week. It’s running fine.

Oops - sorry about the Irish style “at all at all” typo!

The manufacturer's product spec should include a diagram of the actual dimensions, installation and any clearance required.

I've just ordered a new hob from AO and also noticed it is described as 1cm narrower than on Currys website so it's worth checking with the actual manufacturer.

if your floor is perfectly level, and your units either side vertical it will fit widthwise. Is the new one the same depth as the old?

I'm not in the UK. The old one is slightly smaller, 59 across I think. I read that the standard measurement is 60 cm wide so I suppose it should fit. I'm in the shop now so I will see what they say. Looks like the one I wanted is out of stock anyway.
