Frozen ready meal question

SinisterBumFacedCat · 19/02/2021 15:17

If you bought a ready meal from the fridge/fresh aisle, took it home and froze it, and it has “suitable for home freezing” and cooking from frozen instructions on the packaging, would you defrost it and then cook it or cook it from frozen? Asking for my DM who has run out of meals, I can’t get over until tomorrow.

Cook from frozen. Definitely.

Cook from frozen

I’d cook from frozen. Even if it says you should defrost first

Cheers. It’s so confusing as I googled and defrost seems to be the default answer but then why would they put frozen cooking instructions on a fresh meal?! Confused

If you defrost first it takes much less time to cook.
If there are cooking from frozen instructions then you can do either
