Apparently you just pull it but I don't have anyone else and I don't have any strength in my hands or wrists. I'll.just have to leave it I think

If I can't open something I usually bash it against it a wall and the dent helps loosen things up. That's if it's a jar anyway. I realise this is absolutely no help at all but bumping the thread for you!

There's a pressure seal created between the two layers of plastic (like the way a satnav attaches to the windscreen) that you need to break.

Pulling and twisting at the same time might do it. Or pushing the piece inwards before trying to pull it out.

If not, try warming it by a radiator or with a hairdryer to soften it slightly and remove any moisture between the plastic layers then trying again.

I can't do it either, have to leave the box slightly open and jam it back in there

Hi OP, we're moving your thread over to our Chat topic and giving it a bump - someone over there may have an idea what to do Smile

DawnMumsnet · 19/02/2021 15:02

Anyone?

Another hopeful bump!

Hi there 3 years later I'm here to help! I googled for the answer myself, but eventho I found none. You grab the base and twist it side to side a bit to loosen the seal and then just pull it off. Should come off fairly easily after you loosen it side to side first. Hope this helps someone, 3 years later lol

Literally just googled this and this post popped up.
I ended up using a butter knife to squish/bend the edge of the pc the chair goes on so the base was over the edge then pulled apart.
worked but the edge is now a bit bent but still works!
