My mate was once a ghost who had a whole website devoted to spotting her. She used to run home from work through the woods past a ruined (supposedly haunted) castle wearing a black hoodie. There were some absolutely hilarious photos of her, she’d been named ‘the hooded monk’ and the most likely time to spot this ghost was week nights around 8pm (when she finished work). She messaged them several times telling them that she was the ghost, please take the photos down etc. but they never did.
It only stopped when she started wearing a reflective jacket instead. She’s still occasionally spotted on the as a floating orb, apparently accompanied by a feeling of cold and dread. I get that bit, she can be a stroppy cow.
Yes, I’ve posted this on here before but I only discovered retrospectively that I’d given rise to (or contributed to) a ghost story at a former workplace where I occasionally used to sleep in my office (strictly against the rules) — apparently a grey hooded figure used to appear to security guards patrolling outside at night, visible at the window up in one of the tower blocks.
That was me, having decided I didn’t want to cycle home in heavy rain after working till midnight, and wearing an oversized grey hoodie I kept on the back of my office door to sleep in.
I didn’t get a website, though. Boo hiss.
