Put my dishwasher on then 20 minutes later suddenly thought did I put laundry tab in instead as just went to put wash machine on and tub is open
I opened dishwasher and although water had little white foam not much and would thought laundry tab on 70 degress woudl poss foam more? dishwasher just smelt hot water more than anything but the laundry tabs are non bio and don't overly smell
But lets assume i did , will it damage the machine and leave a residue on my plates.
I shut door and it continued for a bit and i have just stopped it and put it on a short 35 min wash to clear water out and before I decide what to do next .
Any ideas ?
I have emailed the laundry tab people in hope they can help, but anyone else done anything as stupid as this .

Are you pissed?

AntiHop · 18/02/2021 22:43

I'd put the cycle on again without any detergent, twice, to be sure it's all rinsed off.

No not pissed , wish I was just had a rough day and don't think I was thinking straight.
I can't even be sure i used wrong one just that the lid was off already when i went to get laundry tab for machine? And was def shut earlier although dh could of knocked it I suppose.
Stupidly i opened to check to see if i could tell so also got a warm facial so just adds to my crap day .

TartanGoose · 18/02/2021 22:56

I'd just run it again.

mocktail · 18/02/2021 22:58

It'll be fine either way, I really wouldn't worry! Sorry you've had a crap day Flowers

Legitimacy · 18/02/2021 22:59

Hope you feel better soon OP. I've made worse mistakes than this just today!

inappropriateraspberry · 18/02/2021 23:02

Soap is soap. If you have clean plates, what's the problem?

donewithitalltodayandxmas · 18/02/2021 23:09

Your machine will be fine. Just put it on another cycle with no cleaner, to wash off any residue. If you have anything silicon in your machine I'd run in through the machine a few times as silicon and some plastic tubs tend to absorb smells, which can transfer to food, and you may not want flower scented butter!
If it make you feel any better I once put shampoo and conditioner in my washing machine....oh my the foam! I had to get buckets and empty the foam out several times before I could cycle the wash again😂

theThreeofWeevils · 19/02/2021 02:35

Doshwasher?
OP, you're money laundering aren't you?

DramaAlpaca · 19/02/2021 02:39

Don't worry OP, your dishwasher & dishes won't come to any harm.

You could just run it again when it's finished. If it's sudsy inside run it without detergent so it rinses. If it's not sudsy you could put a tablet in.

TartanGoose · 19/02/2021 07:16

Good luck with the job interview. Thanks
