Just wondering how much you're paying for things which were in person and now online?

Music lessons; exactly the same.
Ballet; £4 per lesson instead of £6
Outdoor sports that don't happen on land aren't happening at all.

Findahouse21 · 18/02/2021 14:43

Beavers was full price last term but half price this term. They are delivering bundles of materials for each session so I imagine that this is more costly than being able to share materials at the hall

Dizzywizz · 18/02/2021 14:45

Beavers and cubs still same price. Gymnastics same price but we did stop paying over lockdown last year as there was no zoom. This time there is zoom twice a week so we are paying full price.

LegoLady95 · 18/02/2021 14:48

Same price here for martial arts class, however it is completely optional to pay or not. We are choosing to continue paying to support the club, and they put on an exceptional offer of online classes etc.

Beamur · 18/02/2021 14:50

Guides - same price via Zoom (still v good value)
Music lesson - £12 for 30 minutes
Boxing - £5 for 45 minutes
Art - £10 for 90 minutes

Vetyveriohohoh · 18/02/2021 14:55

Dancing, £50pm for 3hrs per week

greensnail · 18/02/2021 15:00

Dance - same price as usual

wendz86 · 18/02/2021 15:35

Dance lessons around £4 for half hour I think. They are normally around £5 for half hour or more for longer.
Gymnastics we aren't doing this term but they are taking usual fees. However we had the option to save the credit for future classes in school holidays so did that instead this term.

itsgettingwierd · 18/02/2021 15:38

Ds is a swimmer. So that can't continue over zoom Grin

His fees are split into monthly membership (fixed) and then squad fees dependent on squad.

We pay monthly membership and for that they get a weekly zoom with coach, exercise plans sent, fortnightly zoom with someone from swimming world (other coaches, ex swimmers etc). Plus their asa fees come from this and are due this time of year so they need paying from this too.

We've also had the usual monthly committee zoom after their meetings, useful links sent, and things such as family quizzes etc.

I'm paying £30 a month instead of £110!

GetThePrintout · 18/02/2021 15:41

Same as face to face.

MrsTerryPratchett · 18/02/2021 15:45

The same, because I want DD's music teacher to keep his house!

badlydrawnbear · 18/02/2021 15:46

Brownies and Rainbows is cheaper as they aren't paying hall rent. They have been posting out packs each term with craft materials etc for the activities and still have to pay for the badges etc that the girls are doing (the weekly activities add up to badges as well as extra ones we can choose to do at home)

MaidEdithofAragon · 18/02/2021 15:48

Gym class can join up to 5 online sessions a week, £79 per month.

TryingNotToPanicOverCovid · 18/02/2021 15:52

0 for gym and tramp here but they aren't doing zoom. Im a bit worried for their fitness tbh.

Music thru school is on zoom as as normal

itsgettingwierd · 18/02/2021 15:53

I have to say some extra curricula clubs have been amazing at keeping things up for the children.

I know they also have bills etc but many could have gone for self employment grant.

I e heard so many parents moaning too that the cost is the same despite things like hall, pool, studio costs not existing.

I just think if it means my kid has a club to go back to that's a good thing? And I doubt anyone is benefiting from zoom financially after original costs being lost last year.

Also to me if a coach or leader does all the extra then I think it's great club with people that care and that's a great thing for ds to have the opportunity to attend - because I know other local swim clubs do nothing. 1 heard nothing from the coach for 6 weeks after they went into tier 4 before Christmas.

ohsoooooooooooobored · 18/02/2021 16:00

Small group classes

Spanish £10 for 45mins
Art - £12 for 1 hour 20
Social club (special interest) - £8 for 1 hour

It's been the one benefit of lockdown, more access to a wider range school clubs. We don't have much locally (that isn't football or guides).

spookycookies · 18/02/2021 16:16

Dancing is the same £5 but I've paused as my daughter can't engage over zoom. Gymnastics cancelled because obviously there's no equipment at home.

We charge our rainbows half price as we have no hall fees at the moment.
