I think I'm weird but I don't mind preparing meals during lockdown

Just made lunch for my 2 teenagers and was idly thinking that I enjoy doing it (most of the time)

I don't do everything in the house, we share chores between me, DH and DC but I prepare the majority of the meals.

I think it's cos my teens are older and independent and it just feels good to be able to do something for them. In normal times they'd be out of the house so much and organise their own lunches.

Does this seem crazy?

I know what you mean! I make lunch for dh most days as he’s wfh and I’m furloughed. It feels like a little act of love, he appreciates it and I feel like I’ve done a nice thing.

I do make all the evening meals but that’s just normal in our house, everyone sorts their own lunch out usually.

Yes the appreciation helps for sure. If my teens took it for granted then I would feel differently.

I agree, I’ve enjoyed being able to spend more time in the kitchen, making things at a slower pace rather than my usual rush to just get something edible on the plate.
