Why do I need ID

For ice cube trays?

Ordered from amazon last night. My delivery update email says it will require someone over 18 with valid ID to be present.

I did order baileys too but that's not arriving for a few days yet.

So they want ID for ice cube trays Grin

Grin I had to show ID for a dish that came with a very small butter knife. Like I was going to butter someone to death with it or something, but also at nearly 50,I definitely don't look under 18 lol

I was hoping it was a sign the trays came with a green sample of gin or something

Alas it'll be because you ordered it alongside the Bailey's, they might not ask at the door but I did have a driver get v arsey about needing OD for whiskey - I CLEARLY do not look under 18, or even 25. It felt v silly really

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/02/2021 13:32

It will.make my day if I'm.asked Grin

The baileys was meant to be on prime but not due til the 27th now..

Because you might put the ice in an alcoholic drink?

Makes about as much sense as assuming that middle aged people buying alcohol in supermarkets might or might not give it to the teenage DC they have with them or not, as the case may be.

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/02/2021 13:36

Maybe I should limp to the door...make then think I'm.putting it on a sprained ankle ?

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/02/2021 13:49

I'm 66 and have still had to show it. Some drivers will just ask me for my DOB but others have copied my DOB onto their forms from my passport or driving license.

I had to show ID a couple of months ago (for something age-restricted, no issue with that!) and when I handed over my driving licence, the courier took out his phone to subtract 1990 from 2020 Grin

Grin If it's any consolation the woman in poundland had to confirm I was over 16 (I think might have been 18) for a cartoon squirrel DVD I was buying for ds2....which was rated U.

She looked twice. I am 41. I love her Grin.

It's still part of an alcohol order. They probably don't know what's in the box

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/02/2021 14:22

Come to think of it I wasn't asked fir ID when I ordered my cherry brandy for the Xmas cake....
