Boring but important duvet cover question

Hi all, does anyone have any surefire tips for getting a duvet to get to (and stay) all the way to the edges of the duvet cover. Every duvet cover I own ends up with a gap at the top, i.e. the end near my head, and it really annoys me every night!

(Lockdown and being at home all the time is really not helping my obsession with this problem!) 😀😂

😂 I genuinely think this! Or little clips so you can attach the corners before shuggling it.

But yes I have in the past sewn little ribbons on the corners and threaded them through the button holes on the duvet

OMG this is a revelation! Bedding change day tomorrow so I'll try the horizontal duvet method.
