Hot flushes, anxiety, back pain and trouble sleeping.....Hello menopause. I've been expecting you Sad
Can anyone recommend some natural remedies, I can try. I'm 52, and smugly thought I'd got away with a smooth transition, but no...

I tried an isoflavine that was specifically high in genestein after reading about and trying the usual herbal stuff like red clover (recommended by my doctor) and ashwaghanda and things like that. Ended up with practically the whole of Holland and Barrett in my bathroom cupboard 😂 Then I looked into the specific benefits of genestein and daidzein and found a supplement that had the recommended 50mg dose in just two tablets. It really helped me. My symptoms didn’t go away completely and I still got really sweaty at night, but my moods were far more stable and I felt much less stressed. Maybe worth having a read online about it. I think the studies were done somewhere like Switzerland but they were encouraging. I’d tried hrt patches (Evorel) whilst in peri but I kept forgetting to change them regularly, thought they were making me fat (think it was probs not them but just my dying hormone levels🥲), and was still having night sweats so stopped to try more natural stuff instead. The night sweats pretty much ruined my life though… they weren’t even bad, I just got a bit hot and sticky, but they were waking me up three or four times a night and I was sooooo grumpy. Anyway, the nurse at our surgery told me that they are now recommending all women to use hrt and consequently are offering more help and advice than previously. So I went to my doc and ended up being given oestrogen gel and a progesterone pill instead of the patch which was the only option before. And it’s totally brilliant. You have control over how much of the oestrogen to use, the pill helps me sleep and doesn’t seem to make me bad tempered and my night sweats have stopped 100%. Sorry for the length of this post, I’ve just taken my adhd meds and can ramble endlessly lol. Basically there’s loads of stuff to try, and all worth trying, but don’t dismiss the idea of hrt completely as things are really moving on and it also is worth a try x

why not try HRT? Do you know that it protects against so many health conditions including dementia, osteoporosis, heart disease and premature ageing. It isn't the demon that GP's make it out to be and its your right to have the one you want.
