Post abortion bleeding

Hi all,
I’m new on here so wanted some advice please. I’ve had the medical abortion 2 weeks ago and what seemed like the bleeding settled after a week, the bleeding has come back again after settling down. Today is day 14 of bleeding, initially I passed clots and my period was heavy for the first few days as expected and then it settled but for the past few days I’m bleeding again and yesterday I had really bad cramps and passed clots and today too, I have a follow up appt on Sat but I’m really worried that I may be losing too much blood but scared to go to a&e. Can anyone please advise?

Hi, I had a medical termination in December for medical reasons and my bleeding lasted for 4 weeks. It slowed down then came back again.

I was 12 weeks pregnant when I had my termination though which may be the reason I bled for 4 weeks. Further along in pregnancy you are the more bleeding you'll get I think.

Please call NHS 24. It's likely nothing to worry about, but occasionally haemorrhages can happen- it happened to my friend and she had to go into hospital. You really should speak to a professional to see whether you need to be assessed.
