So after trying all sorts to get the pink tinge (think it's fluoride in our water?) off the once white grouting in our shower I decided to have a go with one of those Magic Sponge things. And trust me I've spend plenty of time, £ and effort scrubbing at them (not helping by the fact I worry anything too harsh will 'eat' the grouting away). I wipe the tiles down with a squeegee each night and use a bathroom spray to give them a vigorous rub each week. Then it seems every other week a new spray to try and shift the pink.

The results are remarkable Confused Hardly had to scrub at all, no spray required. And just with a damp sponge! It's not sparking but has done the job.

How do these things do it?!!!

It's a very very fine abrasive. like super duper sandpaper

It's melamine foam, it is very good. Can lift paint though so be careful.

Aah that's it. Although didn't know about paint so I'll keep that in mind.

Love your username btw Oldraver.

The pink is probably a mould that lives on fat residue.
So from hair conditioner, soaps etc.

Lovely.
