Did anyone on here used to write on the "you and your weddin" forum around 10-12 years ago

Must have been around 2008-2010 I used to go on it every day as that is when I was planning my wedding (married in oct 2010 but probably still went on it after that)

I just remember there always being loads if drama and a completely fake poster who made up her life and stole photos. I also had some people off there as friends on facebook for a bit (although have since deleted them as had a huge cull years ago)

Did anyone else go on there at this time?

Hi, yes I did, and I also remember the story of the poster who faked her whole enviable lifestyle: home and all. Didn't she try to get out of it by saying she was a journalist who took it too far? I called my wedding off and was actually contacted by a journalist via the site to 'sell' my story. I didnt. Although I do still have my old Ian Stuart wedding dress in my junk room wardrobe - it was all the rage then and I didn't have the heart to get rid of the dress.

I cant remember what excuse was given but I do remember it shocked quite a few people as they had believed her. I'm trying to remember some of the other posters...

I was on there between 2007 and 2011.

There was one poster called Aurelia Rose or something similar who was supposedly a model and always had lots of drama going on.

I remember the lady who had faked the story of baby born with ?genetic condition in NiCU then died? I can't remember all the details but a lot of it didn't add up and it all started to unravel.

Yes! First wedding was 2011 and was a lurker and occasional poster for about a year or two beforehand. I don't remember all this drama!

I used to go on you and your wedding and then I switched over to you and your baby. Would have been 2006-2009. I remember Mrs Penguin was on every thread along with St Bertie. I also remember one lady who's fiance was killed before their wedding day.

I loved all the wedding chit chat. There were some fun people on there. I remember there being a big hoo hah about someone describing a dress with red bits on as ‘the John Player Special dress’ and lots of people getting offended Grin

Oh gosh I remember some of these posters now! Aurelia Rose yes!! And Sheenangel rings a bell. There was also someone called Gilded Butterfly who was also absolutely stunning

Yes I was on there a lot I guess 2008-2010? I got married Jan 2010.
Was never a big poster, but a massive lurker (much like I am now on MN) but I still have a couple of Facebook friends from women I 'met' on there but have never met in real life.
Did the site just shut down? Thinking about it I probably revealed way too much personal info on there! Blush

I was also on there at that time, was she Belinda? I don't know if it was true or not.
