Are pet stores selling small pets just now?

Just that really. Can anyone confirm if gerbils/hamsters can be bought just now from the main big pet supply stores? Thanks.

I don't think I've seen small animals in pets at home when I've gone in to get pet food but in sure it varies so perhaps you could just call your local pets stores tomorrow?

Or even better is there a local rescue who might have an animal needing a home?
