Period pants for heavy flow?

I have quite heavy periods that last up to seven days. I'm so fed up of wearing sanitary towels (I don't use tampons) and really want to try period pants. Any recommendations? Would they even work for heavy periods?

I'm extremely heavy so I use them as a third layer of protection, I use heavy tampons, night time pads and then period pants. Which work as long as I'm not "flooding" in which case nothing seems to stage much protection. I just got various ones from amazon which were rated highly for heavy periods. Sorry probably not much help.

I've been very happy with my heavy/night modi bodi full brief style pants.

I have only one heavy day and I use the mobodi. I use the heaviest flow one for that day and change mid way through the day.

I use mine in addition to a mooncup on heavy days, and by themselves on light days.

I recommend waka.

Thank you all for your helpful replies. I'm going to give the Modibodi ones a go - just purchased some. Worth a try isn't it!?

Modibodis are great. They’ve been a game changer for me.
